i'm back from 10 days in cambodia... well actually i came back 10 days ago, but i cant drag myself to look thru my 400+ potos to choose the nice ones to share. surprisingly, i think the best thing i like abt cambodia is the children's faces.
strange coming from someone who's not planning on having kids after marriage, but the kids there can melt the hardest heart of stone with their smiles. the way their face light up n their jaws gape at the magic show, how they ask timidly n politely for our odd-looking balloons. how they run around with no shoes, some without even clothes... how they smile brightly and sayang their new found (might i add, inexpensive) toys like gollum sayang his "precious" well, in a sweet way, not in a sinister way la...
so instead of showing pictures of scenery, i'd decided this time i wud share pictures of faces... of cambodians... read their expressions... the children's faces r filled with innocence n hope... the adults filled with curiosity and emptiness.
see some pictures first, i will share more revelations i got from my trip to phnom penh later
Taken at the Resettlement Area, residents in this area mostly moved here after the building they lived in Khnom Penh City caught fire. Cant remember what this man was transporting - mayb bags of rice. Motorcycles are the most common tranportation there, they even have this wheelcart extension built to be pulled by a motorcycle.

it is a very interesting place! seriously i m so missing the place now! it's jus too bad i was travelling on a van with 10 others with me if not i wud have made more photo stops. but then as days pass i find the scenery becoming more or less the same, jus endless stretches of paddy fields, cows, pigs, horses, goats... quite interesting la!
